The town of Marigot on St Martin has the same uneven juxtapositions of well-maintained and dilapidated as the rest of the island; sometimes of adjacent storefronts, sometimes of adjacent people (although the dilapidated people are often simply refitting or resupplying their yacht).





Wooden structures like the one above are actually fairly unusual, concrete is far more common, and when that gets neglected not much happens to it for a long while:



But the schools seem to be very well maintained.
