Water and horizons today. I found a pair of artificial ponds on either side of Cataraqui Woods Drive, and pulled over to take a closer look. They look a little tentative and barren, as this kind of ponds often do, but hopefully a few years will help them fill in a bit.

But I'm always drawn back to the lakeshore. These views from the Amherstview pumping station caught my eye when I was driving by. A rare, deep calm made the islands seem to float in space. Here are the Brothers Islands:
