As spring gets a foothold it's sometimes hard to remember that everything was once covered with snow, even if that didn't happen very often around here last winter.  Yet there was at least one of those damp snowy evenings when the snowflakes filled the air and the city lights made the whole sky glow.

The lake didn't freeze this past winter.  I can remember driving with my Father out on the ice road they used to plow to Wolfe Island from the bottom of Lower Union Street.  The lake is very hard to take pictures of - there's at once nothing and everything to look at.
